The Michell Cusis S is a reference-grade moving coil cartridge designed to deliver an extended frequency range, exceptional detail retrieval, and outstanding musicality.
Like all Michell Cusis models, it features a refined moving coil architecture centered around a samarium-cobalt magnet combined with pure iron, producing a highly stable magnetic field for optimal performance.
Its coils are meticulously wound with 30μ pure copper wire onto an ultra-light armature, supported by a purpose-engineered damper that ensures the stylus tracks grooves with high precision.
Each element—from coil count to output level and body composition—is carefully matched to the stylus assembly to achieve superior sonic results.
The cartridge is engineered to suppress unwanted vibrations and resonance. Its aluminium chassis provides a rigid base, while the external housing’s shape and pattern further isolate sonic impurities, delivering remarkable clarity, neutrality, and musical expression.
